4-H Ontario is proud to present the 4-H Ontario Arbor Awards. 4-H Ontario values the hard work, dedication and talent that volunteers bring to the program. Their service is instrumental in 4-H Ontario’s success. The 4-H Ontario Arbor Awards are 4-H Ontario’s most distinguished volunteer awards, given out each year at 4-H Ontario’s Volunteer Conference in March. Volunteers are nominated by their local Associations, and recipients are chosen by a committee of past recipients.

This award is open to all past participants who have positively impacted 4-H in Ontario and have served the organization for over 10 years (this includes both club volunteers and non-traditional volunteers). Nominees must have shown significant leadership, initiative and made a positive impact on 4-H at various levels (club, local, regional, provincial and/or national). Nominees’ involvement in other community activities and organizations is also strongly considered. Only one nomination per Association will be accepted.

Please include nominee’s leadership roles, impact on the 4-H program, length of volunteer service to the 4-H program (formal and informal) and any new ideas or projects initiated by the nominee, and levels of 4-H involvement (I.e. Regional, Provincial, National). *
Community Involvement
In point-form format, please outline the nominee’s involvement in 4-H (Local, Regional, Provincial and National) and in the community beyond 4-H. If possible, please include dates, responsibilities and positions, which reflect the nominee’s involvement and passion for the activity. Community involvement is defined asvolunteer activity of unpaid work for personal or professional reasons.*
